Taconic Heating & Cooling Corp came to evaluate a problem I was having with my central air conditioning unit for the second floor of my house. Taconic was the third company I called. The prior two companies (AMX Cooling and Heating (Pleasantville) and ITC North (Wappingers Falls) told me my unit was shot and I needed to replace the entire thing for a cost of about five to six and half thousand dollars at a minimum. Both AMX and ITC deliberately misrepresented what was wrong for obvious reasons. Carmine, from Taconic, determined the one part that needed replacement to get the unit back on and fully functional. I spent well under $300 for repairs. Needless to say, Taconic is the company I will use for all heating and cooling problems, maintenance, etc. Carmine is excellent - and most important to me, he is HONEST. Take note AMX and ITC North - dishonesty will put you out of business!
